The varsity team had a commanding victory over Middlecreek today. A two day delay didn't stop the team from putting on both a hitting and fielding show at the Mustang's home field. In the second inning catcher Joey Roach threw out a runner trying steal second to end the inning on a strike'em outm throw'em out play.
In the top of the third, Wes Conover had a stand-up double crushing it to left driving in Kyle Byrd from first. Wes later scored on a ground out. Later in the inning Chris Tomlinson singled in Jesse Sykes from second to take a commanding 4-0 lead. In the bottom of the inning Ethan Nunn gets out of a bases loaded jam with a Hawks 4-6-3 double play. In the forth, Kyle doubled in Bryson Edwards from first but was thrown out trying to stretch the double into a triple. All in all this was great game for the boys. An excellent start to the 2009 Spring Season!
