The Fuquay-Varina Bengals are glad their match-ups against the Golden Hawks are done for the season. The Holly Springs Varsity team delivered a devastating loss to the visiting Bengals, 12-2 in five innings. The FV team was stunned as the Hawks batted around in more than one inning. The most serious blow came when Carlos Rodon crushed a Grandslam in the second inning to take the commanding 8 run lead.

First inning:
Bryson Edwards singled to center to lead off the game. He stole second and advanced to third on a pass ball. Kyle Byrd walked. Bryson scored on a Wes Conover ground out. Kyle scored on a Jesse Sykes' sacrifice fly.

Second inning:
With no outs, the Hawks loaded the bases. Logan Ferralez scored from third when Bryson Edwards flied out to center. The Hawks loaded the bases again with a infield single just of the second baseman's glove. Carlos Rodon came up to hit a grandslam. The Hawks loaded the bases again but were turned away from any more runs in the inning.

Third inning:
The Hawks loaded the bases with a walk and two hit bats men. Carlos again came to bat but was walked to bring in another run. Two more came in when the FV threw the ball over the catchers head in an attempt to turn a grounder into a doubleplay. With Carlos moving to third, Ethan Nunn hit a long fly ball to deep center allowing Carlos to score on the out. 12-0

The Bengals were able to score 2 runs but it wasn't enough as Joe Mackey closed out the game for Ethan Nunn in five innings.
